Hospitals to host event for people who care for those with dementia Oct. 3

Join HSHS Sacred Heart and St. Joseph’s hospitals’ 3D Community Health Body.Mind.Spirit and the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Eau Claire County for two events that support those who give care to people with dementia. Improv artists Karen Stobbe and Mondy Carter will share how they use the rules of improvisation to break through conventional caregiving techniques and open up new worlds for people with dementia.

A session for professionals will take place October 3, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $15. To register for the professional session, call 715-717-1600. A session for any caregiver will also take place October 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The session is free and also includes a light meal. To register for this session, call 715-717-1600 or online at www.sacredhearteauclaire.org/Events-Classes.

Both sessions will take place at 29 Pines/Sleep Inn & Suites Conference Center, 5872 33rd Ave, Eau Claire.
