Partners of HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital announce 2019 scholarship recipients

Earlier today, the Partners of HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital presented scholarships of $1,000 each to six people who wish to further their education in health care-related fields.

This year’s scholarships were awarded to: Mikayla Runge, a Chippewa Falls High School graduate; Dayne Kiecker, a Bloomer High School graduate; Megan Bauer, a colleague who’s going back to school; Ruth Konzen, an Eau Claire Memorial High School graduate; Serena Jacob, a non-traditional student attending UW-River Falls; and Grace Post, a Bloomer High School graduate. Congratulations to the winners!

“We’re excited to be able to help students pay for part of their education with these scholarships,” said Mary Rose Willi, president of Partners of HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital. “It’s important for us to help people in any way we can as they enter the health care field. These students are our future health care workers.”

Proceeds from the Partners group’s annual steak fry and from new and used book sales are used to fund these scholarships.
